Art of Curiosity

Curiosity, what comes to our minds when we think of this word? Is it the eagerness to know something? Is it the urge to learn the know how of things? Curiosity can work in funny ways, it can sometimes make you remember something that you read about in 5th grade, it can make you wonder the very basic foundation of our existence or even sometimes make you ask extraneous questions. I have always been a very curious child since the beginning, I wanted to know what was going around the world. I used to spend hours reading current and static general knowledge, did you know that humans can swim through the veins of a blue whale? I guess not? Imagine a 13 year old boy reading the concept of Wormholes i.e. a theoretical passage through space-time that could create shortcuts for long journeys across the universe, makes no sense right? But I believe its a blessing in disguise, because it provides a person with a continuous appetite to learn more. It can provide us with the opportunity to be a part of any conversation happening around us, because that sudden tingling feeling inside would not help us in keeping quiet and not knowing. If a person is curious by nature, it shall provide him with facts and knowledge which may not be relevant at that specific time but that does not mean that it is of no use. Curiosity improves the observation skills of a person, the skills that are considered to be of predominant character as they can help us to become the smartest man in the room. I believe that curiosity helps us in survival, it keeps us updated about the happenings of the world. The unquenchable thirst to explore and seek novelty helps us remain vigilant and gain about our constantly changing environment. It is one of the main reasons which made me pursue law, I wanted to read more about the subject as a whole and gain the maximum knowledge out of it. It may sound weird but sometimes a trait in a person can lead them towards an unexpected path or even a career for that matter, and that same trait can do wonders for them if perceived and embraced at the right time, I think that this simple urge made me come a long way and how these minimal observations that we make may help us in getting out of threatening situations or even get us two steps ahead of someone. I don’t know if this insatiable want inside me will make take me places, but I hope that this burning desire shall make me the discover the unexplored plethora of this universe.
